Alex Hansen scores hat trick in the U-11 Soccer League; team plays to 3-3 draw

Alex Hansen put on an offensive clinic for Jacob's Industries in the U-11 Soccer League on Wednesday.

Alex Hansen put on an offensive clinic for Jacob’s Industries in the U-11 Soccer League on Wednesday.

Jacob’s Industries ended up tying Your Dream Home 3-3 in the very close matchup.

Your Dream Home 3, Jacob’s Industries 3

Austin Bourque also showcased his skills for Jacob’s Industries and was named as the team’s MVP.

The goal scorers for Your Dream Home included Jamie Fry, Tristen Inglis-Comeau and Ian Hansen, while the team’s MVP was Janelle Cousins.

U-12 Soccer League: June 11

EVF Fuelwood 7, The Deli 5

Kieran Halliday finished with the most goals for both teams, scoring three in total.

Nicola Lazeo-Fairman and Aidan Uiterwaal also contributed to the win for EVF Fuelwood, each scoring twice in the game.

Stephen Wohlfahrt and Jono Runions each scored twice for The Deli, while Rowan Evans-Ehricht finished with the team’s other goal.

U-16 Soccer League: June 10

Alpine Bakery 8, High Calibre Contracting 4

Owen Hedstrom-Langford led the offensive charge for Alpine Bakery, scoring a hat trick, while Travis Pumphrey and Felix Bouchard each notched two goals in the victory.

The team’s other goal scorer was Helen Hedstrom-Langford and Adrian Hawkings was named as Alpine Bakery’s MVP.

Michael Hare and Brett Roulston scored all four goals for High Calibre Contracting. Each finished with two goals.

Emily Oettli was named as the team’s MVP.

U-7 Soccer League: June 10

M&M Meatballs had a first rate performance from both Jamie Bhullar and Mackenzie Cameron. Bhullar was named as MVP, while Cameron was awarded with star player. 

Maria Vasseur was named as MVP for Envirolube, while Camron Maguire was awarded with the star player award.

U-8 Soccer League: June 10

Coldwell Banker’s MVP was Jayden Demchuk, while Yukon Appliance named both Curtis Cruz and Derek Hennings as its MVP.

The MVP for Truss Plant were Lizzie Sparling and Hanne Korn.

Ben Hureau played a spectacular game for Yukon Outfitters and was named as the team’s MVP.

Maeve McManus’ tremendous sportsmanship and great play earned him the MVP honour for Access Consulting.
