Ace thrower Dan Reimer repeated his Ace Race win over the weekend. He hit two aces and two metal hits to take the men’s division win. Marc Senecal was second with one ace and five metal hits. Sean MacDonald was third with one ace and two metal hits.

In the women’s category, Carole Dumont won with two metal hits, while Charlotte Van Randen was second with one metal hit.

Two places were awarded in the youth category. Ashlan Norquay had one ace for first and Sophie Senecal had two metal hits for second.

In all, 28 players were out last weekend in the pursuit of aces.

“It played tougher than expected, but everyone still had fun,” said Ryan Norquay in an email.

The next disc gold event will be the fourth annual Whitehorse Fall Classic on Oct. 1. It will also be the grand opening of the Solstice Disc Golf Park at the McIntyre Pond Pumphouse off College Drive.

To play advanced, it will cost $20, but all other divisions are free.
