Yukon Squash League action continued last week.

The action takes place at Better Bodies courts in Whitehorse with seven teams in two divisions challenging each other for local squash supremacy every Tuesday and Thursday evening.

In league play, five to six players per team battle one-on-one with their adversaries on other teams.

Matches are best-of-five games, and players earn team points for games and matches won.

In Division 1 play Tuesday night:

Landed Bakehouse crushed Grizzly Electric 18-10, handily winning four of five matches due to the efforts of Sam Penner, Stephen Burdess, Michael Roberts, and Gurmaan Rai.

The Electrical Shop defeated Stantec Consulting 17-13, with Kamran Idrees, Jeremy Kovac and Adam Humphrey emerging victorious.

Ecological Logistics & Research edged Chilkoot Chiropractic & Rehab 14-13. Despite Peter Mather outlasting Jordan Barker in a 5-game duel, ELR bought it home on wins by Lia Johnson and Nikhil Sharma.

Yukon Tree Services had the bye.

In Division 2 play on Thursday night:

Silver Ghost Contracting spooked Precision North Mechanical 18-7, with wins by Daniel Sokolov, Michael Reeder, Lindsay Knezevich, and Janna Swales.

Arctic Training cruised past Meadia Solutions 19-10, with Lara Rae Trotter, Jake Muir, Karen Larkin and Keely Kovac winning four of the five matches.

Northern Futures defeated PR Services 15-7, with all three matches going the distance. Tristan Rentmeister, Neil Clark and Stephanie Boulet outlasted their opponents for the win.

Steadfast Electric had the bye this week.
