In a 12-goal shootout, Klondike Business Solutions outgunned Yukon Brewing 8-4 in Saturday’s over-35 soccer action.

Chris Stacey led the way for the blues with a well-taken hat trick, and was assisted by David Rayo (two goals) and singles from Pierre-Luc Lafrance and Fernando Hizon – his first of the season. The eighth goalscorer was not reported.

Yukon Brewing replied with man in form Eric Murphy getting two, alongside singles from ‘Deadly’ Doug Hitch and captain fantastic Jim Connell.

Meanwhile, sometimes words cannot describe events and that was true in the early game.

Without taking anything away from a good Pepsi performance – with strike partners Chris Donohoe picking up a fantastic treble and Simon Pulido getting a great poacher’s goal – Quest Computers managed to get the winner and runner-up of misplays of the month.

Firstly Patrick Jackson, after getting a goal, managed to get sent off for not retreating the required amount after a free kick.

Then Geoff ‘The Cat’ Woodhouse dribbled the ball out of his own area, turned around and blasted a goal into the open net. Only he will know what he was thinking.

Jim Brown got a late consolation goal for Quest to leave Pepsi the 5-2 winners.
