Three more teams left the 2022-23 oldtimer hockey playoff scene last Wednesday, as all three favourites advanced to the final set of games this week.

Regular-season number one seed Yukon Inn punched their ticket to the final series with a 6-2 win over Titanium Storage; number two Firth ousted Air North by a 5-1 count; and number three EDI eliminated Kilrich in a 4-1 contest.

Yukon Inn 6, Titanium 2

Willy McKenna scored the last four goals of the game to pace the Inn, and Gary McKellar and Geordan Clark added singles. Luke Johnson and Chris Carli replied for the team in red.

Firth 5, Air North 1

A well rounded attack insured the win for the Rangers - Peter Johnston, Frank Aucoin, Norm Watson, Ryan Martin and Michel Dubois all tallied. Mike Sage scored the flyers’ last goal of the season.

EDI 4, Kilrich 1

Al Hansen was all over the ice, scoring twice to propel EDI further in the playoffs. Pat Tobler and Gus Morberg also connected, and Anthony Grotolli sniped the lone Kilrich goal.

EDI and Firth now play in the 2/3 game Tuesday night (7 p.m.), and the winner of that game takes on Yukon Inn in the two-game playoff final to be played Wednesday (7 p.m.) and Saturday (7:45 p.m.), all at the Canada Games Centre.
