Wednesday Games:

Tim Hortons 5, Kilrich 2

Coming off a year-long team-mandated stint in the minors, Glen Traverse returned to big-league form with several scintillating saves to help Tim Hortons upset Kilrich in Whitehorse Oldtimers hockey action Wednesday night at Takhini Arena.

Chris Nash and Mike Gau scored shorthanded goals to lead the Timbits offence, and Nash chipped in another as well. Marty O’Hagan and Travis Ritchie banged home the other goals. For Kilrich, Scott Palfreyman (also shorthanded) and Greg Charlie did the damage.

Yukon Inn 5, Firth 2

Also Wednesday, Rob Green netted two to lead Yukon Inn past Firth. Russ McDiarmid, Blaine Demchuk and Kevin Topping added one apiece in victory. Shawn Kinsella and Chris Carli replied for the Rangers.

Thursday Games:

CapriCMW 4, EDI 4

On Thursday, Ron Daub lobbed in a shot from the point with only 1:41 on the clock to give CapriCMW a tie with EDI. Al Hansen, Greg Lane and Arlo O’Riordan also scored for Capri. Brian Currie (on a fly ball from centre field), Peter Johnston, Scott Olafson and Myles Dolphin replied for EDI.

Medicine Chest 4, Air North 3

And Geordan Clark potted two goals to lead Medicine Chest to a 4-3 win over Air North. Ken Vickerman and Tom Ullyett rounded out the scoring in victory. Pete Mostyn led the airmen with two goals, and Tyson Wirth notched a single.

Sunday Games:

Yukon Inn 5, Kilrich 5

Steve Arrell capped off a productive game as he scored with only 1:31 on the clock to cap a spirited comeback and earn his Yukon Inn team a 5-5 tie with Kilrich in Whitehorse Oldtimers hockey action Sunday at Takhini Arena.

Arrell added two helpers, and single Inn goals came from Rob Green, Kevin Topping, Yves Paradis and Laurie Malo. Scott Palfreyman netted two for Kilrich, and Danny Johnson, Greg Charlie and Wade Harrison rounded out their scoring.

Firth 1 Capri CMW 0

Mark Bowen sniped the game’s only goal, and super sub Tim Cameron stopped everything in net for Firth.

Tim Hortons 4 Air North 1

Four different Timbits tallied to give the coffee mates their third straight win. Sean Booth, Mike Gau, Chris Nash and Josh Turcotte poured in goals for Tims, while Pete Mostyn replied for the Jets.

EDI 2 Medicine Chest 2

Pete Johnson was grand for EDI, connecting with only 1:39 remaining to lift EDI to the tie, and Dave White tapped in the other one in. For Medicine Chest, it was Colin Nash filling the net, along with Gerry Brandt.
