Chris had his Car-li in top gear Sunday as he scored his third goal of the game with only 46 seconds left on the clock to earn Titanium Storage a 5-5 tie with CapriCMW in Whitehorse Oldtimers hockey action at Takhini Arena. Tyson Wirth popped in a pair to round out the Titanium total. Ed van Randen whipped in a couple for Capri, and single goals came from Phil MacDonald, Peter Deer and Ron Billingsley.

Medicine Chest 7, Yukon Inn 4

Nate Clark and Kevin Topping each tallied two as MC knocked off top-ranked Yukon Inn. Shawn Kinsella, Rick Smith and Pat Shaw added one apiece. Willy McKenna scored twice in the rare setback for the Inn, and Joel Witten and Joel Talbot pumped in one each.

EDI 4, Tim Horton 3

Dustin Heffner clicked for the (hat) trick to pace the Dynamic crew, and Kevin Johnstone got the other in victory. Matt Johnson, Doug Terry and Mark Bowen replied for the Tims team.

Firth 5, Air North 2

League goalscoring leader Frank Aucoin netted two more for the Rangers, and Michel Dubois, Norm Watson and George Morgan each added one in the win. Kirk Price did all the damage for the airmen.

Thursday

Air North 4, Medicine Chest 3

Mike added some Sage to a spicey oldtimers game, scoring the game winner on the powerplay with only 18 seconds left in Air North’s win over Medicine Chest. Kirk Price added two (one also on the pp) and Scott Olafson netted the other. Shawn Kinsella, Nate Clark and Derek Bilodeau responded for MC.

Firth 8, Tim Hortons 2

Frank Aucoin was all over the ice, scoring five times for Firth. Michel Dubois added two markers (and three apples), and George Morgan got the other. For Timmies, it was Matt Johnson and Chris Lane lighting the lamp.

Wednesday

EDI 6, Kilrich 6

Dustin Heffner scored off a frantic scramble with 11 seconds on the clock to cap a furious comeback and earn a point for EDI. He also added another goal and three helpers. Defenceman(!?) Greg Charlie added two goals, and Rick Gingell and Vernon Asp contributed the others. For Kilrich, Mark was King with a hat trick, and Arlo O’Riordan, Martin Lawrie and Steve Arrell added one apiece.

Yukon Inn 10, Titanium Storage 5

Greg was in the scoring Lane as he pumped in three goals for the Inn. Willy McKenna chipped in a pair of markers, and solo efforts came from Gary McKellar, Joel Witten, Brad Hameister, Josh Turcotte and Johnny Sembsmoen. Five different Titanium skaters sniped goals - Tyson Wirth, Blaine Demchuk, Josh Savill, Chris Carli (on a sweet solo rush) and Russ McDiarmid (top cheddar).

Yukon Inn leads the standings with 19 points (9-2-1). TA Firth is hot on their heels with 18 (8-2-2).

Firth’s Frank Aucoin leads the point and goal parade with 27 points (24G, 3 A). EDI’s Dustin Heffner is a close second with 26 (12G, 14A). Medicine Chest’s Shawn Kinsella (13G, 12A) and Nate Clark (15G, 10A in only seven games) are tied for third with 25 points each.

The Inn’s Glen Traverse leads all goalies with 9 wins and EDI’s Paul Dainton is tops with a 2.56 GAA.
