Weekly results from Whitehorse Oldtimers Hockey League action at Takhini Arena:

Wednesday night:

Firth 5, EDI 3

Nate Clark and Shawn Kinsella continued their offensive tears with a pair each for the undefeated (5-0) Rangers, and Damon Crosby potted the empty-netter. Brian Currie, Clint Ireland and Mervin Jacobsen replied for EDI.

Tim Hortons 3, Yukon Inn 2

Willy McKenna scored with 2:01 on the clock to give the Timbits a hard-fought victory. Mike Gau (finally!) and Garrett Zacharias added single markers. For the Inn gang, it was Rob Green and Jeff Jensen scoring, the latter on a nifty effort smacked out of mid air.

Thursday night:

Kilrich 4, Air North 2

Briar Young scored what was surely the first natural hat trick of his oldtimers career to lead Kilrich to a 4-2 win over Air North in Whitehorse Oldtimers hockey action Thursday night. The anomaly occurred at Takhini Arena, as Young scored once in the first period and twice in the second. Rick Moses ripped one top corner to round out the Kilrich scoring.

James Pugsley and Derek Bilodeau replied for Air North.

CapriCMW 4, Medicine Chest 1

Four different players netted goals for Capri - Dave Wipf, Tim Turner-Davis, Arlo O’Riordan and Joel Witten. Martin Lawrie sniped the lone goal for Medicine Chest.

Sunday scores:

Firth 6, Air North 3

Boston Bruins coach Eddie Shore (#2 when he played) used to fine his defencemen if they crossed centre ice with the puck during a game. But Firth’s Duane Purych (also donning #2), was under no such restriction from his coaching staff, as the rugged blueliner netted two goals to lead his team to a win over Air North in Whitehorse Oldtimers hockey action Sunday at Takhini Arena. Ben Kielb, Brent Stokes, Doug Cote and Peter Kirby also helped ensure the win for Firth. For Air North, Garrett Kuptana, Bernie Heffner and Dave Bakica landed goals.

Tim Hortons 5, CapriCMW 3

The Tim’s team spotted Capri an early 2-0 lead but steamed back to victory, led by Chris Nash’s two goals. Willy McKenna, Mike Gau and Travis Ritchie also connected. For Capri, it was Greg Lane, Arlo O’Riordan and Ed van Randen doing the damage.

Yukon Inn 8, Medicine Chest 3

Both Walt Liley and Rob Green tallied two to take their teammates toward triumph. Kevin Topping and Laurie Malo added shorthanded efforts in the win, and Yve Paradis and George Morgan completed their scoring. For Medicine Chest, it was Gus Morberg, Tom Ullyett and Martin Lawrie with markers.

Kilrich 4, EDI 2

Greg Charlie nailed a hat trick for the builders, and Dermott Flynn hammered home the other. EDI got goals from Clint Ireland and Ian Boyce.
