In this week's Oldtimer action:

AON edges Tims Hortons: Jeff Jensen scored two breakaway goals to lead the AON Flames to a 3-2 win over Tim Hortons in Whitehorse Oldtimers hockey action Wednesday night at Takhini Arena. Lester Balsillie also scored for the Flames, who kept their hold on second place in the standings with the win. For Tims, goal scorers were Wynn Griffith and Gregor Gabb, with his first of the season.

Also Wednesday, Ron Cruikshank scored twice to lead the Firth Rangers past Air North 4-2. Erik von Flotow and Peter Johnston added singles for Firth. Briar Young and Pete Mostyn replied for Air North.

EDI stretches win streak to four: Defenceman Max Dugre-Sasseville did his best Bobby Orr impersonation by scoring three times to lead EDI to their fourth straight victory, a 5-3 win over the Firth Rangers in Whitehorse Oldtimers hockey action Sunday at Takhini Arena. Gary Vantell and George Skookum also scored for EDI. For Firth, Ron Daub somehow scored twice, and singles came from Peter Johnston and Gerry Rivest. In other action:

Kilrich 5 Air North 0: Glen Traverse stopped everything he saw for Kilrich to earn the shutout. Brian Currie carried the offence with two goals, and one each came off the sticks of Dustin Heffner, Ben Campbell and Les Luciuk.

Yukon Inn 3 Tim Hortons 3: Garrett Zacharias scored a fortuitous goal with 15 seconds left in the game to lift Yukon Inn to the tie. Shawn Kinsella and Gord Campbell also scored for the Inn. Greg Lane popped in a pair for Tims, and Wynn Griffith got the other.

AON Flames 4 Medicine Chest 3: Kevin Neufeld’s goal early in the final period stood up as the winner for AON. Blaine Demchuk, ​Lester Balsillie and Kevin Johnstone also tallied for AON. Replying for Medicine Chest were Chris Carli with two and Myles Dolphin with one.

In play last Wednesday and Thursday:

Air North 8 AON 6: Pete Mostyn sniped a hat-trick to lead Air North in this wild affair. Mike Gau added two goals and two assists, Briar Young chipped in a couple of goals and Doug Janzen rounded out the scoring. Replying for AON were Kevin Johnstone with two, and singles from Tom Ullyett, Rick Smith, Wade Hanna and Dave Wipf.

Tim Hortons 6 Firth Ranger 3: Wynn Griffith scored twice for the Timbits, and solo efforts came off the sticks of Ed van Randen, Gary Jerome, Bernie Adilman and Greg Lane. For the Rangers, it was Joel Witten, Peter Johnston and Gerry Rivest.

EDI 2 Yukon Inn 1: Colin Nash scored with less than one second left to lead EDI to another late victory. Maxime Dugre-Sasseville also scored for EDI, while Gord Campbell replied for Yukon Inn.

Kilrich 6 Medicine Chest 1: Six different marksmen paced the Kilrich attack - Mark King, Ben Kielb, Bruce Demchuk, Tim Turner-Davis, Ben Campbell and Derek Bilodeau, who also added three assists. Scott Palfreyman scored Medicine Chest’s lone goal.
