League statisticians scoured the archives but could find no record of Gary Vantell ever scoring a hat trick in all his storied years in the Whitehorse Oldtimers Hockey League. They need look no more as hats rained down from the stands as Vantell potted three goals to lead EDI to the upset win over league-leading Kilrich Thursday night at Takhini Arena. Colin Nash, Ty Heffner, Johnny Sembsmoen (three assists also) and Clint Ireland also scored for EDI. Derek Bilodeau netted two for Kilrich and Ben Campbell scored the other.

Tim Hortons 5, AON Flames 2

Greg Lane scored twice to lead Tim Hortons to their sixth straight win. Ed van Randen, Wynn Griffith and Gregor Gabb rounded out the Tims scoring. Blaine Demchuk and Lester Balsillie replied for the Flames.

Yukon Inn 5, Medicine Chest 3

Wednesday night, Greg Charlie bulged the twine twice for the Inn, and single markers came off the sticks of Kirk Price, Shawn Kinsella and Mike Jim. For the pharmacists, scoring were Scott Palfreyman, Stu Mackay and Bill Bohmer.

Air North 5, Firth Rangers 3

Pete Mostyn scored twice and added two assists to pace Air North in this feisty affair. Mike Gau, Andrew Pothier and David Bakica also netted goals. For Firth, it was Rick Gingell, Ron Cruikshank and Damon Crosby lighting the lamp
