Squash Yukon’s league play continued last Thursday at Better Bodies. The teams are gearing up for the playoffs where only the top four will make it.

The five-game standout matches of the night were:

Chantal Emond (Steadfast Electric) won against Maya Cairns-Locke (Yukon Transportation) 9-11, 11-9, 9-11, 11-1, 11-9. Wow, that was close.

Greg Ducharme (Better Bodies) won against Manual Kennedy (Precision North Mechanical) 5-11, 13-11, 11-4, 4-11, 11-5.

Sinya Jomura (Precision North Mechanical) won against Etienne Bilodeau (Better Bodies) 7-11, 11-9, 7-11, 11-7 11-5.

Jeremy Locke (Better Bodies) won against Arielle Meynen-Boyd (Precision North Mechanical) 10-12, 11-8, 11-7, 9-11, 11-6.

Katie Mercier (Chieftain Energy) won against Mark Mendelsohn (Silver Ghost Contracting) 5-11, 11-7, 11-7, 7-11, 11-3.

Jake Muir (Silver Ghost Contracting ) won against Rebecca Beaton (Chieftain Energy) 14-12, 11-7, 12-14, 11-13, 11-9.

Three overtime games were needed to win the match.
