The Season Finale for this summer's DPSAY Hot Hounds Race Series will be held on Oct. 2 at 5 p.m.

The year-end event will be hosted by Mike and Jessica Simon on Mayo Road.

The event will follow the usual Hot Hounds format, with registration at 5 p.m. and a quick drivers meeting. Then the races will begin, followed by an awards ceremony and barbecue.

Food will be provided (generously by the hosts), but competitors can bring their own food. As always, racers are invited to bring their own refreshments.

The Season Finale will be sponsored by Antoinette's Restaurant and Mike Simon, Lake Laberge Liberal candidate. Gift certificates to Antoinette's for first-, second- and third-place finishers in each event will be up for grabs.

There will also be prizes available from other Hot Hounds sponsors Firstmate Extreme dog food, Cadence Cycle, Icy Waters Arctic Charr and more.

Directions to the race site from Whitehorse are as follows:

Drive north on the Mayo Road (Klondike Highway), approximately one kilometre past Takhini Gas on the left hand side, mile 4.5 of the Mayo Road. The Simon's place is the driveway after the driveway with the flags. There will be a sign to direct traffic.
