Because of the ongoing developments surrounding the novel COVID-19 virus, local-sport organizations have had their seasons cut short – events in the Yukon and outside the territory have been cut short.

Please, everyone, do your part to keep your friends, family and neighbours safe.

Today, I thought it would be neat to take a look back at some photos from the first three months of the year. Working for a newspaper, space is often a determining factor in what gets published.

Some really great photos are left unused and unseen. These are some of those photos.

The Yukon has a vibrant sports community, and I’m sure, like me, the athletes, coaches, volunteers and fans are missing their activities.
