Wigmore the pulse of Klondike Business Solutions

James Wigmore is one of the most charismatic in the over 35 soccer league. His constant great displays have coincided with KBS’s recent revival, which continued on Saturday with a 5-4 win over league leaders Yukon Brewing.

Wigmore seemed to be like a whirlwind, cleaning up in defence before charging up front to aid the attacks. The rest of the team were on form as well, highlighted with great movement, fine passing and winning 50/50 tackles, they needed to be playing at their best as well to keep the mighty Yukon Brewing at bay. Both teams traded goals as KBS tried to pull away but couldn’t put the game to bed as the Brew kept pegging them back, even David Rayo’s fine individual goal couldn’t break the Yukon Brewing spirit.

When KBS scored their fifth goal, they tried to shut down the Brew, but their hearts were in their mouths when hotshot striker Eric Murphy had the ball on a breakaway with only seconds left, but due to his catalog of injuries he was not as sharp as he usually is and the moment passed.

Other scorers were Andy Todd 2 and Justin Carre 2 for KBS, while Guliano Rayo 2, David Strachan and Michael Zuccarini got the goals for Yukon Brewing.

Rodriguez helps Yukon Info blitz Pepsi

Oscar Rodriguez strolls around the Canada Games Centre pitch as if he owns it, and at the moment he does as he rolled in a hat trick to ease Yukon Info.com to an 8-2 win over Pepsi.

Rodriguez never seems to get out of second gear, but his soccer IQ is off the charts, as he always is in the right position to take and deliver a pass or be at the end of a sweeping Yukon Info move. Rodriguez found willing allies in JP Ladroue who scored two, slim Jim Brown, Rob Florkiewicz and a first for the season by Rob ‘the Doc’ Bouquet, who passed his mentor John MacPhail in the scoring charts.

Poor Pepsi looked slightly disjoined and was caught in possession a number of times, leaving only keeper Thomas Riexinger as the last line of defence, and he did admirably well denying the opposition in one on ones but even he couldn’t stop the Yukon Info onslaught.

Danny Macdonald and Adil Khalik got goals in consolation for Pepsi.
