Greg Lane scored three times to help Tim Hortons snap a four-game losing streak in Whitehorse Oldtimers Senior Circuit hockey action Sunday at Takhini Arena. Lane’s hat trick was a big part of Tim’s 6-1 win over EDI. Other Timbits to tally were Mike Sage, Jeff Hunston and Mike Jim. Rick Smith prevent EDI from getting a donut on the scoresheet.

Other Senior play saw Dave Bakica continue his scoring tear with his fifth and sixth goals of the season as Medicine Chest grounded Air North 4-1. Ron Cruikshank and Ian Boyce each potted one for the Chest, and Daryl ‘Makar’ Berube netted the lone Air North goal.

In the Junior matches, it was Kilrich beating CapriCMW 8-4 and Yukon Inn getting by the Firth Rangers 5-3. Kilrich won their 12th straight to start the season as Mark King led the way with three goals and three assists. Chris Nash and Ben Kielb each collected two goals, and Arlo O’Riordan got the other in victory. For Capri, it was Scott Palfreyman, Geordan Clark, Kevin Johnstone and Gus Morberg with goals.

Import Sean Sheardown scored twice in the Yukon Inn win, Scott Olafson scored the game winner, and Shawn Kinsella rounded out their scoring. Greg Charlie, Marcel Barrault and Anthony Grottoli replied for Firth.

Thursday:

Kilrich continued to roll in the Senior Circuit in the Whitehorse OIdtimers action with a 7-4 in over Yukon Inn Thursday night at Takhini Arena. Arlo O’Riordan led the builders with two goals and three assists, Chris Nash chipped in two goals of his own, and single nails were pounded in by Tim van Hinte, Mark King and Ed van Randen. Duane Purych booked two for the Inn, and newcomer Walt Liley and Shawn Kinsella scored the others.

The other Thursday game saw CapriCMW down the Firth Rangers 5-3. Five of Capri’s seven skaters scored goals in the win – Scott Palfreyman, Chris Carli, Blaine Demchuk, Gus Morberg and Mike Smith. Firth got goals from Marcel Barrault, Dustin Heffner and Michael Svoboda.
