Medicine Chest and Tim Hortons stayed alive in Whitehorse Oldtimers playoff hockey action Wednesday night at the Canada Games Centre, but EDI and Yukon Inn had their seasons end.

Medicine Chest 9, EDI 5

The Chest roared out to a 5-0 lead and never looked back against a short-benched EDI team. Myles Dolphin led the way with three goals, Scott Palfreyman and Chris Nash each added a pair, and Josh Turcotte and Chris Carli each added one. Colin Nash did all he could for EDI, scoring four times, and Max Dugre-Sasseville rounded out their scoring this season.

Tim Hortons 5, Yukon Inn 3

Yukon Inn tried to blow a 4-1 lead but hung on the defeat the Innkeepers. Wynn Griffith again led the way for Tims with four goals, and Mike Menzies connected on the other with a laser shot. Lorne Burnett streaked up from defence to score two for Yukon Inn and John Pereira scored on a nifty backhand in the loss.

Action continues tonight at the Canada Games Centre with Kilrich playing AON, and Tim Hortons facing off against Medicine Chest.
