Rick Smith scored his second goal of the game with only 19 ticks on the clock to give EDI a wild 7-6 win over Medicine Chest in Senior Circuit play in Whitehorse Oldtimers Hockey League action Wednesday night at Takhini Arena. Medicine Chest staged a late effort to tie it in the last 19 seconds, ringing a shot off the post with seconds left.

Bob Allison added two for EDI, and Jeff Jensen, Kerry Pettitt and Tim Turner-Davis had one apiece. For the pharmacy crew, Pete Mostyn popped a pair, and Stu Mackay, Martin Lawrie, Ron Cruikshank and Al Hansen each netted one.

The other Senior game saw Tim Hortons edge Air North 2-1. Gary Vantell and Greg Lane scored for the Timbits, and Chris Lane landed the lone Air North goal.

Junior circuit action on Thurday yielded plenty of goalscoring as Kilrich beat Firth 8-6 and AON outscored Yukon Inn 7-4.

Kilrich was led by three goals from Myles Dolphin, two from Mark King, and one apiece from Chris Nash, Brian Currie (three assists) and Ben Campbell. Mike Gau netted two for Firth, and Dustin Heffner, Peter Johnston, Greg Charlie and Jacob Pokiak each bulged the twine once.

AON roared out to a 5-0 lead and then coasted to victory. Briar Young connected for two goals, and solo efforts came from Gary McKellar, Geordan Clark, Paul Sullivan, Kevin Johnstone and Blaine Demchuk. Tyson Wirth scored a natural hatty late in the first period, and Sean Sheardown had the other for the Inn.
