Little was cleared up in the tenacious playoff position battle in the Senior Circuit of Whitehorse Oldtimers hockey Sunday night at Takhini Arena. With a 1-1 tie between Medicine Chest and Air North, and a 6-2 loss by EDI to frontrunner Tim Hortons, the picture for second, third and fourth remains blurry, as the three teams are now only two points apart with two games to go.

Sean McLeish scored for Air North and Dave White (fighting off his depression over the Leafs cratering) ripped one home for Medicine Chest in their tie. Six different marksmen connected for Tims in their triumph – Mike Sage, Mike ‘Peplinski’ Blower, Gary Vantell, Ron Daub, Doug Terry and Bernie Adilman (about time!). Wade Harrison and Kerry Pettitt replied for EDI.

In Junior action, Firth outlasted Yukon Inn 5-3 with an empty netter. Mike Gau, Greg Charlie, Max Dugre-Sasseville, Dustin Heffner and Anthony Grottoli connected for Firth; and Shawn Kinsella, Tyson Wirth and Joel Witten replied for the Inn.

And Mark King’s goal (his second of the contest) with 2:23 on the clock gave Kilrich a 4-4 tie with CapriCMW. Ben Campbell and Lawrence Ignace also bulged the onion bag for Kilrich, and Blayne Monahan, Mike Smith, Blaine Demchuk and Pat Tobler did the damage for Capri.
