Brian Currie donned the Sears catalogues for his Kilrich team Sunday in Junior Circuit oldtimers hockey action, earning a 7-5 win over CapriCMW in the process. Arlo O’Riordan helped his defenceman-turned-goalie with three goals, and Lawrence Ignace, Chris Nash, Mark King and Tim van Hinte rounded out the Kilrich scoring. For Capri, it was Blayne Monahan with a pair, and one apiece from Gary McKellar, Blaine Demchuk and Pat Tobler.

The second Junior tilt saw Yukon Inn score three times in the final 3:17 to overcome a one-goal deficit and beat Firth 5-3. Joel Witten rifled home two in victory, and Darnell Kiriak, Nate Clark and Sean Sheardown also scored. For Firth, it was Greg Charlie, Elgin Schwantz and Gerry Brant with markers.

Senior play saw Tim Hortons’ Floyd McCormick turn in a scintillating effort to blank EDI for the second straight matchup, this time by a 3-0 count. Greg Lane cashed in two for Tims, and Garrett Kuptana got the other.

And Air North scored five times in the first period and then hung on to defeat Medicine Chest 5-2. Adam Green, Steve Arrell, Dave Wipf, Chris Lane and Sean McLeish did the damage for the Airmen, and Mark Pike continued his torrid scoring with a goal for the Chest, with Ron Cruikshank adding the other.

In Junior action last week, Arlo O’Riordan scored twice to lead Kilrcih past Yukon Inn 6-4; and Dustin Heffner netted two to help Firth edge CapriCMW 7-6. Senior action last week saw Bill Bohmer score twice to help Medicine Chest tie Tim Hortons 4-4 (Greg Lane got two for Tims); and Kerry Pettitt tallied twice to help EDI tie Air North 4-4.
