Rick Smith rifled home four goals to lead EDI to a 5-1 upset win over AON in Whitehorse Oldtimers hockey action Sunday night at Takhini Arena. Dean Hassard also scored for EDI as they cooled down the league’s hottest team. Mervyn Jacobsen replied for AON.

Kilrich 9, Tim Hortons 4

Chris Nash padded his lead atop the league scoring race with five goals and an assist for Kilrich. Clint Ireland added two goals, Brian Currie chipped in a goal and three assists, and Peter Johnston rounded out the scoring for the builders. Tims goals came off the sticks of Daryl Berube, Gerry Brandt, Pete Mostyn and Doug Janzen.

Firth 4, Yukon Inn 3

Mike Jim scored the winner, and his second of the game, late in the final period to lift the Rangers to victory. Mark King and Murray Arsenault added one apiece. For the Inn, it was Martin Lawrie with a pair, and a solo effort from Shawn Kinsella.

Medicine Chest 3, Air North 3

Michael Svoboda stuffed home the game tying goal with only 3:39 on the clock to give the Chest the tie, and Derek Bilodeau got the other two. Ed van Randen netted two for Air North, and Garrett Zacharias added one goal. In Wednesday/Thursday games from last week, its was: Tim Hortons 4, EDI 3; AON 7, Kilrich 3; Yukon Inn 6, Air North 4; and Firth 2, Medicine Chest 2.
