The 19th annual Mt. Lorne Mis-Adventure Race took off on Sunday.

It was a perfect Fall day for the 2022 fundraiser for the Mt. Lorne Volunteer Fire Department.

Volunteers from the fire department organized and held the race. They also served a chilli lunch at their own expense after the race.

Cookie and bread donations were received from Blackbird Bakery and Alpine Bakery respectively.

A net of $1,300 was raised after the cost of insurance and bibs. The money is used to pay for extras not covered by the Fire Marshal's office including, most importantly, additional insurance for the firefighters.

A total of 55 runners took part.

Following are the top three results for each distance:

5 km

1 Gregory Freeman 0:24:10
2 Yanik Freeman 0:24:11
3 Erik Embacher 0:27:15

10 km

1 Nathaniel Hamlyn 0:44:05
2 Tom Ullyett 0:46:43
3 Cindy Freeman 0:48:00

21 km

1 Ian Weir 1:28:00
2 Jonathan Hawkins 1:28:34
3 Adam Luciano 1:31:05
