Gortari and Dolphin too agile and graceful for KBS

KBS had no answer to the dynamic duo, as they toyed with KBS’s defence like a mean cat. They were everywhere and KBS couldn’t get a foothold into the game as they were constantly outplayed, outthought, and outlasted. Gortari got 2 goals and Dolphin 1, they added a number of assists to their resume when aiding Eric Murphy to 4 goals, to keep his golden boot aspirations alive.
KBS actually started the game well, building up a two goal advantage, but it went downhill quickly once Driving Force got going. David Strachan got the other goal for Driving Force, while Andy Todd Ash Jordan and Franklin Fru got the KBS reply.
Macdonald starting to
find his range
Danny Macdonald is finally getting back into the groove that saw him win the golden boot last year. His story mirrors the hero Odysseus, he started the year in Greece and has been trying to get home ever since, but here have been a number of obstacles put in his way, this week it was a Guliano Rayo inspired Pepsi team.
Pespi have played well in the last few games, and this week it was no exception, building the play well through the midfield to allow Rayo to do what he was born to do, score goals, this week it was three for him.
Yukon Info.com had to be at the top of their game just to be within arm’s length of them, which luckily, they were.
MacDonald drilled two in from outside the area and there were two smart goals from JP Ladroue and Ciaran Connolly.
When David Rayo scored for Pepsi the game finished at 4-4 which was probably a fair result.
Battle of the CGC goes
Westmarks way
For some reason the match up between Yukon Brewing and Westmark leaves a trail of destruction behind it, there have been more yellow and red cards in this fixture than any other in the history of the league.
The first half was tight without much goalmouth action, but the second half exploded into a war, as reckless challenges and petty differences were played out in front of an awestruck crowd. John MacPhail was able to keep his head while all those around him were losing theirs, with two excellent goals, although he didn’t know much about the second, when he was persuaded by Mark O Brien to leave the pitch through a solid wall and ended up a broken mess on the floor. For this interaction Mark O Brien won a weekend off, so that he can finish off the home renovations that his wife is so keen for him to finish.
Westmark’s class showed through in the end and were worthy 3-1 victors. Justin Carre got the other goal for Westmark, with Charles Mcleod getting the goal for Yukon Brewing.
