JP Ladroue was in magnificent form for Yukon Info.com as they beat an out of sorts Pepsi team 6-4 in Whitehorse Rapids over 35 soccer action.

Ladroue, who is known for his cannon-like shot, showed the subtle side of his game finishing off a lot of great Yukon Info moves picking up an incredible five goals.

With the power performance, Ladroue moves into a tie for the league lead in goals with eight.

Pepsi were top of the league heading into the contest but they found Yukon Info in inspired form, driven on by their captain Jan Aalt van den Horne they produced an upset result that sent shockwaves through the league.

Charles McLeod got the other goal for the Orangemen, while Keith Maguire, Myles Dolphin, Simon Pulido and Travis Schommer grabbed the goals for Pepsi.

White leaves it late

Graham White, a new addition to the league, showed why being young and fit is a huge advantage as he capitalized on the opposition’s tired legs by scoring in the last minute as Tony’s Pizza overcame Klondike Business Solutions 4-3.

KBS held the lead for much of the match, with maestro Danny Macdonald cutting the Pizza boys midfield apart scoring two early goals, while John MacPhail scored with a nicely taken effort.

However, Tony’s slowly pulled themselves back into the game through goals from Gareth Howells, Andy Todd and Justin Carre and were helped by an outstanding stop from Geoff ‘the cat’ Woodhouse before White’s late winner.

With the win, Tony’s Pizza will head into their bye week at the top of the table with 11 points sitting at three wins and two draws.

On Saturday, second-place Pepsi will look to bounce back taking on Yukon Brewing with Klondike Business Solutions and Yukon Info.com challenging each other, both looking for their third win of the season.
