With round 2 in the books, the Disc Golf League Championships wound up on Tuesday night and the engraver of the cherished trophy will have to do some extra work.

For the first time ever there was tie for top spot. Sharing the title as winner of the League Championships are Vince Fedoroff and Paul Getson, both of whom shot a two round total of 3 under 109. Third low net went to Matthew Grant with a 2 over 114.

Fedoroff was thought to have an easy ride to the title as he entered the second round of play with a commanding 5 stroke lead over the rest of the field. But he stumbled late in the match, bogeying the difficult 17th hole to allow the tie.

Getson capitalized on some clutch play on the back 9 where he banged in 3 birdies and posted a net 3 under 53 for the round.

And of course the seemingly perennial winner of regular season play, Jesse Devost posted a most respectable 9 under 103 to take the Low Gross title.

Players were quick to thank the many volunteers who make the league and the championship playoffs so enjoyable and look forward to 2012 season.
