Archers shooting for outdoor time

The Whitehorse Archery club held a shoot Wednesday evening at the Takhini Elementary School.

By Whitehorse Star on April 30, 2021

The Whitehorse Archery club held a shoot Wednesday evening at the Takhini Elementary School. Normally this would have been the Canadian indoor regional nationals, but because of restrictions across Canada, Archery Canada decided to cancel it for this year. That means this was just a registered event for rankings.

There were five new archers competing in their first event “so I’m glad we are growing the sport” said Warren Kapaniuk.

With the snow on the decline, the outdoor range at the Biathalon Yukon property awaits the shooters and should be ready in two-three weeks.
