Air North Rangers showed the quality and depth that their team has, as no fewer than seven different players scored as they beat a free falling Yukon Brewing 7-2 in the early matchup in over 35’s soccer.

Air North emblazoned in their brand new uniform were relentless throughout the game, not giving the Brew an inch, and scoring regularly leaving Yukon Brewing frustrated.

The Brew had started the season so well, but in recent weeks have failed to gain points. Their captain, Dale Cheeseman, will need to inspire his men to stop their slide.

Iain Breckenridge has no such problems with his team, as it looks like they would run through walls for him to get a positive result.

Scorers for Air North were Marcelo Gortari, Ciaran Connolly, Myles Dolphin, Iain Breckenridge, Huy Nguyen and Creed Swan. Yukon Brewing scorers were Gabe Stetkiewicz and Eric Murphy.

Super Sub Connolly destroys Yukon Info

Ciaran Connolly was brought in to fill a big hole in the heart of the midfield, and was able to score two goals to help Klondike Business Solutions win 4-1, and keep them top of the league.

Connolly has been a YouTube sensation during the COVID pandemic, producing soccer fitness videos that have kept Yukon Soccer players fit and entertained. He used this extra energy to put in a complete performance, one that will be remembered for a long time.

KBS were thin on the ground for players, but the team pulled together and fought hard for each other.

Nobody epitomized this spirit more than ‘Deadly’ Doug Hitch who skipped around the field like a newborn lamb, putting in a solid display.

Yukon Info.com’s renaissance from last week was short-lived as their hopes and dreams came crashing down after this defeat.

Matthias Hartman got the other two goals for KSB, while Derek Funk got a consolation for Yukon Info.

A remarkable win for Pepsi

For the first time this season, Pepsi skipper Mark O’Brien was able to call upon a full squad, and with this wealth of resources his team took apart a very good Driving Force team 8-2.

Stephen McGovern and Pat Zuccarini led the way with two goals each, but JP Ladroue was the conductor of the band, setting the beat and tempo for the rest of the team to follow. Ladroue scored himself and set up countless other chances for a team that has missed his services over the last two weeks.

Driving Force couldn’t get going and were unable to get enough possession to make any inroads, which was a major surprise as they have looked good all season long.

The result vindicates the faith O’Brien has put in his team who now will be looking to move their way up the league standings.

The other scorers for Pepsi were Guliano Rayo, Nathan Cross and Fabian Glyka.

Mark Chandler and Phil Jackson got the goals for Driving Force.
