Population growth in Whitehorse represented 87.5 per cent of growth in the Yukon.
The city's population rose by 530 people between March 2011 and 2012, reaching 27, 322 this year.
The breakdown of Whitehorse-area residents by subdivision shows 4,901 people live in Riverdale, more than in any other neighbourhood.
Valleyview has the fewest residents, with 170.
Five hundred and eighty people live in an undefined neighbourhood while 277 people only had a downtown post box, their physical address is unknown.
In March, 15.6 per cent of the Yukon's population was under 15 years old, 75 per cent was between 15 and 64 and 9.3 per cent was older than 65.
Fifty-one per cent (18,322) of the territory's population was male, while 49 per cent (17,623) was female.
