EMERGING ARTIST EXHIBITS – Amber Walker is exhibiting ‘Tales’ at the Arts Underground. The 24-year-old emerging artist was presented with the Most Promising Emerging Artist award at SYANA’s First Nations Art Festival in 2008. Alongside her exhibit in the Hougen Heritage Gallery is ‘S.S. Keno: The Last Sternwheeler on the Yukon River.’ The show, presented by the MacBride Museum, commemorates the Keno— its life running cargo down Yukon rivers, its historic 1960 final voyage, and the people whose work earned the steamer a venerated place in Yukon history.
