A man reported missing last week was located in Whitehorse shortly after police put out a missing-person alert on Friday.
An acquaintance of Garry Mallory called police Friday afternoon to say the man was in Whitehorse and had no idea that people were looking for him.
The Watson Lake resident “probably didn’t think there was any cause for concern,” RCMP spokesman Sgt. Don Rogers said this morning.
Mallory was reported missing by his landlord late last week after he hadn’t been seen at his residence for several days, though his vehicle was still parked outside.
Police received calls from several members of the public after the alert went out, Rogers said, which led to the prompt closure of the file.
