A poker run event hosted by the local mushing society raised $470 for the animal shelter Sunday.

The Dog Powered Sports Association of the Yukon (DPSAY) ended its summer season with a charity event benefitting the Mae Bachur Animal Shelter.

Other major winners were Miriam Vogt, who emerged with the top hand following the poker run – a full house.

Vogt took home two flight tickets courtesy of Air North.

James Stobbs earned a half day of mushing with Muktuk Adventures thanks to his three of a kind, while Florence Marien won a $200 certificate to Sky High Wilderness Ranch with two pairs.

Bikejor race winners were Cynthia Corriveau (two-mile) and Florian Weber (one-mile), while Sebastien Dos Santos took the canicross race.
