Regal Brown leads the way

The new over 35s soccer season kicked off in style this weekend with two very entertaining games at the Canada Games Centre. In the early game, Englishman Jim Brown, obviously celebrating the arrival of his future king to

Whitehorse, grabbed a hat-trick for Klondike Business Solutions, as they ran out convincing winners over a hugely depleted Pepsi side. Goals from the ageless John MacPhail (2), Bruno Bourdache (2) Charlie Mcleod and Andy Todd rounded out a 9-5 win, with JP Ladroue, (3) Steve Insley and an own goal scoring for Pepsi.

Liz Bradley put down an early marker for the golden boot award, with a magnificent pair of goals in a 6-2 for Yukon Brew over Team Keith. Reigning champions Yukon Brew put together a great team performance based around Bradley’s goals.

Other scorers were Goher Hafeez, Gord De Bryun, Guliano Rayo and a rare Mark O’Brien strike.

Team Keith were rewarded for their effort with goals from Mamadou Togola and Adil Khalik.
