It was moving day in the Whitehorse eight-ball league last Thursday night with seven of 10 teams changing positions in the standings.

League-leading Yukon Jack was not one of the movers as they remained on top, pummelling the Alpha Cues 7-2 and dropping them to seventh place.

Bob Edzerza was in top form for Yukon Jack with a 74-point night.

The Bad Goatees were in second place entering last week’s play. They are probably still wondering what happened as they were crushed 8-1 by Balls Deep.

The loss dropped them to fourth while Balls Deep moved up to fifth, a mere half point back. Balls Deep were led by Rob Sinclair who posted a perfect eight-for-eight performance for the maximum 80 points.

Team Awesome was also on the move, taking over third spot with a 6-3 win over the Cunning Stunts.

Himanshu Thapar led the way for Team Awesome matching Rob Sinclair with his own eight-for-eight performance.

Meanwhile, the Ramblin’ Rowdies moved up a spot into second with an easy 6-3 win over The Kids in the Hall.

Gord Arndt led the way for the Rowdies with a 76-point night.

And in what was clearly the most highly-anticipated match of the night, the ninth place Shockers took on the cellar-dwelling We’ve Got Balls.

The anticipation died quickly and completely however, as the Shockers ran roughshod over their opposition 8.5-0.5.

Both Cory Waters and Mike Fraser posted 77-point nights for the Shockers.

The top five local eight-ball teams now stand as: 1. Yukon Jack (59.5); 2. Ramblin’ Rowdies (51.5); 3. Team Awesome (50.5); 4. The Bad Goatees (49); 5. Balls Deep (48.5).
