Carcross adventure racing duo Denise and Greg McHale are suited up at the Rev 3 Cowboy Tough Expedition Race in Casper, Wyoming.

The unsupported adventure race has been won by Team Tecnu, which the couple joined earlier this year, for the past three years.

The three and a half day race sees athletes mountain bike, run, trek, paddle and rappel down cliffs over 450 miles of harsh Wyoming backcountry.

Fifty teams from around the world are attempting to win the tough race, and get their free entry into the world championships this fall in Australia.

The McHales are racing with four-time world champion Stuart Lynch and Montreal’s Alex Provost.

The race started this morning. As of press time, Team Tecnu was in the top two.
