MAKE IT SNOW – Skiers take part in a Ski-A-Thon January 14 to raise money for snow-making equipment. More than 100 Whitehorse Cross Country Club members skied for 30 minutes, doing laps on a track in the Mount McIntyre Stadium. Cross Country Yukon is hoping to purchase snow-making equipment to help facilitate early-season sking at the nordic club. In addition to a grant application, CCY has a number of other fundraising opportunities, including a special blend of Bean North Coffee, a silent auction, a GoFundMe campaign and corporate sponsors. “I think we will exceed our goals,” said CCY coach Alain Masson.
