With the Spruce Bog in full swing down the hall, Chris Stacey served up a treat of his own with a majestic strike as Klondike Business Solutions outgunned Quest 7-4 Saturday morning.

KBS got their first win of the over-35 soccer season at the Canada Games Centre thanks in large part to braces from Stacey, skipper Rich Potter and Pierre-Luc LeFrance.

Kristian Goncze added a single in the win, while Danny Macdonald (2), Steve Insley and Doc Bousquet responded for Quest.

In other action, Chris Donohoe gave a glimpse of his past talent, and his strike separated Pepsi and Yukon Brewing in a hardfought 1-0 game.

Even Gord Barker struggled to impose himself in a tight contest, and both sides gave everything in the pursuit of victory but only Donohoe could find the back of the net.

I guess I may be a little biased, but I always knew my big brother would shine on the soccer pitch one day. Only taken.....30 or so years - lol.
