The Canada Games Centre crowd witnessed a 12-goal thriller in the early kickoff between Quest Computers and Yukon Brewing.

Saturday’s over-35 men’s soccer action saw Quest lead for large periods of the game only to be pegged back by a resilient Brew side.

With only seconds left on the clock, the men in black had edged to a 6-5 advantage, but Quest’s Nathan Bingham had different ideas and smashed in an equalizer that ended a roller-coaster game.

Other Quest scorers were Rob Florkiewicz (2), Danny Macdonald, and Steve Insley, with Doug Hitch, Guilano Rayo (2), David Strachan, Armand Daneliuc and John MacPhail netting for Yukon Brewing.

In other action Saturday morning, a Simon Pulido double helped ease Pepsi to a 6-1 victory over Klondike Business Solutions.

Pulido was backed up by two goals from a gazelle-like Chris Donahoe, an own goal and a strike from the irrepressible Gord Barker.

Pepsi’s defence were in a miserly mood where Mark O’Brien and Tony Gaw were outstanding, only letting Pierre-Luc Lafrance net for KBS.
