The Air North Jets are soaring again.

The longtime rec league powerhouse regained their rightful place atop the A Division standings last night with a 13-6 drubbing of the Gold Pan Avalanche at the Canada Games Centre.

Evan Campbell, Kane Dawe and Robbie Stuckey each had six-point nights to lead the Jets, while Avalanche sniper Mike Arnold also had six points in the loss.

Remarkably, Campbell and Arnold remain tied atop the league’s scoring race with 54 points apiece after going blow for blow in last night’s affair.

With the win, the Jets improved to 10-5 on the season, and now sit one point ahead of the TA Firth Rangers (9-3-1).

Hockey Yukon’s Midget Mustangs are in last with a record of 2-10.

In B Division action, Goody’s Gas continues to pump out wins, now sitting pretty at 11-1-1, one point ahead of the second-place CRB Nighthawks.

But it’s Fountain Tire’s Jamie Cairns who currently holds down the league scoring title, with 19 goals and 16 assists.

In the cellar is Rock Hard Construction, currently 1-13 with a league-worst 109 goals allowed.

In Canyon City Hockey League action, the Sun Life Sundogs (6-4-2) continue to hang onto first place, despite a 5-2 loss to the Trans North Helicopters Wednesday night.

Matt Moffatt’s hat trick was enough to bust up Sun Life’s four-game winning streak that had pushed them to the top of the heap in the five-team league.

With the win, Trans North jumped from last to third, with only four points separating first from last.

The Dirty Northern Muckers are in last at 4-6-2.

Meanwhile, EDI Dynamics (9-3-0) has risen to the top of the Whitehorse Oldtimer Hockey League thanks to a hot start from star scorer Greg Charlie. Air North remains in last at 2-10.

Charlie’s 19 goals and eight assists ranks second to only Tim Hortons’ Walt Liley’s 15 goals and 15 assists in league scoring.

EDI scorched Air North Wednesday night, beating them 9-4 on the strength of a Charles Brodhagen hat trick.
