It’s time to gear up for the ski season. On Saturday the Whitehorse cross-country ski club will be hosting its annual Ski Swap fundraiser at the Mount McIntyre Recreation Centre.

The gear available will be dictated by what is dropped off to sell, but could include cross-country ski gear, downhill ski gear, snowboard gear, camping gear, avalanche gear, hockey gear, bikes, clothing and more. Goods relating to motorized sports are not welcome, according to the cross-country club’s website.

Gear for sale can be dropped off tonight at the Grey Mountain Room at the rec centre from 4 to 7 p.m. It costs $2 per item to sell. The cross-country ski club keeps a 20 per cent commission of goods sold.

The ski swap takes place on Oct. 15 from 9 a.m. until noon. Visa, MasterCard, debit, cheque and cash are all welcome modes of payment.

Pick up your cheque and unsold items after the sale, from 2 to 4 p.m.
