CARVING THE SLOPES – From left, Manas Sarin-Toews, Noah Wright, Charlie Hawes and Shane Orban compete at a provincial U16alpine race series at Mt. Norquay in Alberta last weekend. Competing in a giant slalom and two slalom races, the Yukon Alpine Team’s best results were: Sarin-Toews, 38th (slalom); Wright, 42nd (slalom); Hawes, 33rd (slalom); Orban, 40th (slalom). Coach Yves Titley said he was pleased with the overall results of the U16 team. The U14 team races this weekend at Sun Peaks Mountain Resort, B.C.
