RCMP recover some stolen items; still seeking suspects

Whitehorse RCMP recovered a number of suspected stolen items last Friday evening after executing a search warrant at a Whitehorse residence.

Whitehorse RCMP recovered a number of suspected stolen items last Friday evening after executing a search warrant at a Whitehorse residence.

The recovered items are believed to be from Friday’s early-morning break and enter to Ice Wireless on Main Street (see that day’s Star).

An arrest warrant was issued Monday for 18-year-old Benjamin Wright of Whitehorse, in connection with the break and enter at Ice Wireless, and additional charges.

Whitehorse RCMP have also identified a number of youth suspects.

A 14-year-old male was arrested Saturday and is facing charges of break and enter. The suspect been released on a promise to appear.

Police are are still attempting to locate the other suspects.

This matter is still under investigation, and police urge anyone with any information about the incident to contact them at 667-5555.

You'd think the RCMP would provide a photo of the suspect they have the warrant for.
