RCMP are still searching for murder suspect Michael MacPherson, and warn the public he is still considered armed, dangerous and violent.

MacPherson, 32, is wanted for second-degree murder in the death of Tanner Sinclair last week.

Meanwhile, an online fund-raiser for Sinclair’s pregnant wife, Whitney Sandulak, and their daughter, Keele, has raised more than $90,000, with nearly 500 donations pouring in since the campaign began late last week.

Sinclair, 27, was stabbed at a home on Lazulite Drive in Whitehorse’s Copper Ridge neighbourhood early last Tuesday. He later died in hospital.

Police released new information this morning about MacPherson’s tattoos: a hummingbird on his right forearm and several others on his chest, back and legs.

Police have issued an arrest warrant for MacPherson, who also goes by the name Michael Proud. They say he has connections in British Columbia and Saskatchewan, and may be headed there.

Whitehorse RCMP Const. Dean Hoogland said he wasn’t aware of any roadblocks that had been set up in the Yukon nor the two provinces, because MacPherson’s location is unknown.

“He could still be in the Yukon for all we know,” said Hoogland, adding that police in those two provinces have been provided information about MacPherson.

He is Caucasian, with blue eyes and short brown hair, and is 5’10” and weighs 220 pounds.

Police believe the wanted is driving an older red Toyota Corolla with dents, a cracked windshield and a missing door handle on the driver’s side. It may have a Yukon licence plate with the number HHS50.

“If located, do not approach and call 911 or your nearest police station,” the RCMP state in their release.

Matt, does personal experience tell you what will fly in prison, and what will not?

A short chubby guy who wants to be a gangnam styler. That hummingbird tattoo will not fly in prison.
