The body recovered from Lake Labarge on May 9 has been determined not to be that of a missing man, Jeremy Scurvey.

Kirsten Macdonald, the Yukon’s chief coroner, said Wednesday afternoon she was advised Tuesday evening that the dental comparison proved conclusively negative.

“At this time, the identity of the male is unknown,” she said.

An autopsy will be performed Friday at Vancouver General Hospital.

The Yukon Coroners Service, together with the assistance of the Yukon RCMP Major Crimes Unit, are continuing to investigate.

“More information with regards to the unidentified male will be learned over the next days,” Macdonald said.

The Yukon Coroners Service is asking Lake Labarge-area residents to keep a look out for any personal items in the area that may be in the water or washed up on shore.

If personal items are located in the area of the Yukon River to Lake Labarge, contact the RCMP.

Has anybody thought that maybe this man that has been found, could possibly be Schellenberg, whose truck they found north of town in a gravel pit. There never was a big search for him, and it is fairly close to the river!!!!!
